# Gologin vs 3rd-party proxies

Gologin supports two ways to use proxies with browser profiles:

* **Gologin proxies** – integrated proxies managed directly inside Gologin
* **3rd-party proxies** – proxies purchased from external providers and added manually

Both options allow you to assign a separate IP address to each browser profile, helping isolate sessions and reduce the risk of accounts being linked.

## Gologin proxies

Gologin proxies are built into the Gologin environment and can be assigned to profiles without additional configuration.

Key characteristics:

* quick setup inside the application
* proxy assignment directly from the **Profiles** page
* built-in traffic monitoring
* simplified proxy management
* both rotating proxies (paid by traffic) and Dedicated IPs (a static address, \$5/month per IP) This option is suitable if you want a **simple and fast setup** without using external proxy providers.

<Note>
  You no longer need a third-party provider just to get a static IP. Gologin's **Dedicated IP** gives you an address that never changes, in one of eight countries, without leaving the app. See [Purchasing Gologin Proxies](https://gologin.com/docs/proxy/gologin-proxies/purchasing-gologin-proxies).
</Note>

## 3rd-party proxies

3rd-party proxies are purchased from external proxy providers and manually added to Gologin.

They provide:

* access to large proxy networks
* more location options
* control over proxy rotation and sessions
* compatibility with existing proxy infrastructure This option is typically used in **larger or more advanced setups**, or when you need a country or proxy type Gologin does not currently offer.

## Choosing the right option

| Option                | Best for                                       |
| :-------------------- | :--------------------------------------------- |
| **Gologin proxies** | quick setup and simple proxy management |
| **3rd-party proxies** | advanced configurations and larger proxy pools |

Both proxy types work with Gologin browser profiles, and users can combine them depending on their workflow.
